Sia Sourelou
Theodosia Sourelou graduated from the State School of Dance in Athens (Greece). Being in New York (2000-2003) on scholarships by Onassis Foundation and Dance Space Center she collaborated with a variety of choreographers and artists.
As a founding member and choreographer of “enteka (11) dance” she presented her work in Greece, New York and Egypt.
In 2009 she collaborated with Frey Faust as a choreographer and a dancer in performances in Athens and Patras.
In 2010 she was the choreographer of a theatrical play by the actress and director Anna Kokkinou. She has collaborated with the educational organizations DIAN (Greece), Centro Teatro Calabria (Italy), Znanie (Bulgaria) and Teatro Instabile Berlino (Germany) within the European program EROA, part of the program “Culture”.
On October 2013 she participated with her artistic project “A quiet approach in huMInDs” in the national`s network for artists meeting, IETM (Athens).
She was a basic member of Dimitris Papaioannou choreography team for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens and the opening ceremony for the 1st European Games in Baku (Azerbaijan) 2015.
On 2016 she participated in a residential program in Andros with Kitt Johnson working on site specific techniques.
She participated in the educational program of Onassis Cultural Center giving creative workshops on elementary and high school children (2015-2016).
Collaborating with the educational program “Agoni grammi gonimi” she is visiting isolated Greek islands giving workshops to children and adolescents and working with the local cultural groups.
On 2016 she presented an interactive, human specific, live performance at the railway carriage theatre “The train at Rouf” and at “Vrysaki” art space.
On 2017 she participated in a residential European program in Skiathos between German and Greek artists working on dance and theatre practices for minorities and vulnerable groups such as refugees, children…
She is also a yoga teacher since 2004.
